Patient Coverage & Reimbursement
Your patients may be eligible for insurance reimbursement.
Under the Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act (WHCRA), U.S. plans covering mastectomy must also cover prostheses and reconstruction. Both silicone prosthetics and areola micropigmentation may qualify for reimbursement.
The process requires a letter of medical necessity from the treating physician. RmonyCare provides patients with a ready-to-use letter template for your signature and a detailed receipt with billing codes (see codes below) to complete the claim submission.

Coverage Note: Eligibility varies by plan. Coverage of nipple prosthetics and areola micropigmentation is not universally mandated under WHCRA.
